1955 Boston's Terry Sawchuk recorded his 60th career shutout in the Bruins' 1-0 win over the NY Rangers.
1972 Terry O'Reilly scored a goal and added three assists in a 9-1 Bruins' win over the Islanders, at Boston Garden.
1991 Winnipeg Jets traded Brent Ashton to Boston, in exchange for Petri Skriko. It marked the eighth NHL team in Ashton's 13 year career.
