2000 Boston's Mike Keenan became just the fifth coach in NHL history to reach the 1,000 game milestone, when the Bruins had a 5-4 win against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks. Jason Allison led the scoring with two goals and two assists.
1989 Boston became the second NHL team to win 2,000 games, with a 5-4 OT win over the Kings. Cam Neely led the scoring with two goals and an assist as Boston extended their home undefeated streak against Los Angeles to 13 straight games (12-0-1).
1946 Boston goalie Frank Brimsek recorded his 29th career shutout in a 5-0 Bruins' win over Toronto.
1958 Boston goalie Don Simmons recorded his 10th career shutout to lead the Bruins to a 2-0 win against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs. Bruins scored their two goals within a span of :39 in the second period.
