The "Voice of the Bruins Alumni" John Horrigan talks with Bruins D Bob Beers at a recent Bruins Alumni game.
In 1985 defenseman Bob Beers was chosen 210th overall by the Boston Bruins at the NHL Entry Draft. He enjoyed three excellent years with the University of Maine Black Bears and in 1989 was chosen to the Hockey East second all-star team and the NCAA East second all-American team. Beers went on to play 258 NHL games with the Bruins, New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers and Tampa Bay Lightning He currently serves as a radio commentator on Boston Bruins broadcasts on the WBZ Bruins radio network and is an occasional contributor to NESN Bruins and College Hockey broadcasts.
In his role as director of hockey operations, 20-year veteran Bob Cormier "does it all for" the Bruins Alumni. In this clip he discusses his role with the team and why his role is so rewarding.
