Boston Bruins Foundation:

Like the spokes on our hub, the Boston Bruins Foundation was established to reach out to all areas of New
England with the purpose of being the best neighbors and friends possible. The Boston Bruins, the FleetCenter,
Delaware North, and all of the Jacobs family companies are dedicated to the concept that simply being a good
corporate partner is not good enough. We insist that with the full weight of our organization, a difference
can be realized in this area we call Bruins Country.
Like our hockey club, we are rolling up our sleeves to do good work, concentrating in several key areas
that will define our mission. Those areas are Athletic, Academic and Medical. We feel that these three areas
best enable the Bruins Foundation to assist in helping communities and groups enrich lives throughout our
locality.

The Ace Bailey Children's Fund was established in memory of Garnet "Ace" Bailey who was aboard United
Flight 175 on September 11, 2001 when terrorists crashed it into the World Trade Center. Ace's family
has created the Fund to honor and perpetuate the memory of Ace who had an enormous zest for life
and a special love for all children.
The proceeds raised by the Fund will go directly to improve the hospital experience and hospital
environment for sick and injured children and their families at the Floating Hospital for
Children, part of the Tufts-New England Medical Center.

The Cam Neely Foundation:

The battle against cancer is a tough one. Former Boston Bruin's star forward Cam Neely and his siblings Scott,
Shaun, and Christine, know this all to well. They lost both parents to the disease.
"We know how devastating cancer is on both the patient and the family," said Cam.
"The experience left us with a deep understanding of cancer's toll on families and how much support they
need to help loved ones through treatment."
Following the passing of Marlene and Michael Neely, the family members decided to dedicate part of their
lives to helping others deal with cancer. With that decision, the inspiration for the Neely House developed.
A first-of-its-kind bed and breakfast style home in Boston, the House provides shelter as well as support
services for families of both adult and pediatric patients undergoing cancer treatment at New England
Medical Center. |
